Problem Sets

Have some thoughts on a problem set you used? Let us know via our feedback form!

The problem sets designed for Girls Talk Math are freely available to download and use on our GitHub page.

Each problem set covers a different Mathematics topic which is usually not encountered until college or even graduate school. The problem sets are designed to be accessible to high schoolers with minimal outside instruction required. Some are more challenging than others, but all can be completed with only a background in basic algebra. They are written from an Inquiry-Based Learning approach, in which groups of students work through the problem set together.

The problem set topics (those currently available online in bold) are

  • Elliptic Curve Cryptography
  • RSA Encryption Cryptography
  • Classification of Surfaces
  • Knot Theory
  • Quantum Mechanics
  • Special Relativity
  • Fluid Dynamics
  • Mathematical Epidemiology
  • Number Systems
  • Network Science
  • Renewable Energy

We will continue to add problem sets to our GitHub page as they are finalized.
